Hmm, your notebook is indeed very, very old.
Looks like it is the Pentium III generation with PC100 or PC133 SDRAM
memory type.

I do not think it is feasible to search for new memory for that type,
since it is end of production more than 5 years ago and most likely is
not existed anymore in the open market. Even if there is, memory is
always like bottled wine. The more vintage it is, the more expensive
they are.
If you live in Indonesia, you may get lucky by visiting the laptop
repair shop which located mostly in Ambassador Mall or Mangga Dua. Pray
they have spare used memory being scavenged from broken laptop.

Another thing, for the PC100-PC133, the biggest memory size was
256MB~512MB. Thus if your notebook has 2 DIMM slot, it can only get 1GB
maximum. If it is only 1 DIMM slot, then half of it.

I suggest if you are interested in venturing into Linux, the Xubuntu
Linux may be a suitable operating system to revive that old notebook.
